Service Dispatcher


Job Title: Service Dispatcher

Department: Service

Reports To: Service Manager

 

Summary Receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers’ requests for service by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Records information such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered.

 

Prepares work order and distributes to service crew.

 

Schedules and handles service calls and dispatches service crew.

 

Calls or writes customer to ensure satisfactory performance of service.

 

Keeps record of service calls and work orders.

 

Coordinated permitting and inspections for service work.

 

Dispatches orders and relays messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                   

 

Directly works with 6 to 10 employees in Service. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include   planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
