Summary Orders, receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and electrical products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned..
Reads Service Department material requisitions, work orders or packing slips to determine items to be ordered, moved, gathered, or distributed.
Moves materials in receiving area and returns area to appropriate place.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions for Service Department materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to electricians through Jay daily.
Follow up on back ordered service orders.
Logging and delivery or pick up of tools to jobsites.
Performs pre and post inspections of tools and equipment. (tool tags)
Maintains adequate tools and parts inventory.
Performs minor tool repair.
Log’s tools by using tags or log book. Keep up to date and maintain.
Assembles inspected customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves and logs them into job shelf computer.
Sends tools out for repair and track progress
Prefabricates small electrical assemblies for job sites.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Checks in materials from distributors or return materials from job sites.
Counts items for distribution to ensure accuracy.
Uses computer to check in material and place orders.
Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to job site or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from distributors.
Returns: Return to vendor or stock, schedule for vendor pick up with proper documentation for tracking purposes.
Prepares parcels for mailing and returns.
Keep up with daily and weekly warehouse projects (bathroom, tool crib, pipe yard, conex and yard).
Manage time to ensure best productivity.
Maintains tools, returns and material inventory records.
Building maintenance: quarterly basis: clean out a/c drains and change filters. Other duties per request.
Keep track of paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
Maintain daily delivery logs.
Prepare scrap wire and deliver to scrap yard upon direction.
Assists Fleet Manager with vehicle maintenance (contact mechanic regarding what is on the schedule to be worked on).

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of QuickBooks, Internet Explorer and Email, Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft WORD.
