Summary Checks in, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and electrical products by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Reads packing slips to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

 

Moves materials and items from receiving or returns from job sites areas to storage or to other designated areas.

 

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

 

Prefabricates small electrical assemblies for job sites.

 

Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

 

Checks in materials from distributors or return materials from job sites.

 

Counts items for distribution to ensure accuracy.

 

Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to job site or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

 

Assists with the maintenance of tools and materials inventory records.

 

Assists fleet manager with vehicle maintenance.

Education and/or Experience
