Project Manpower Auditor


Job Title: Project Manpower Auditor

Department: Contracts

Reports To: Byron Overstreet

Prepared Date: 8/12/2011

Hours: 24-29 hours, M-F

 

Summary; Visit project sites weekly to update the status & quantities of installed items thereby providing the Project Managers with a recalculated schedule and updated manpower requirements for timely completion of their project.

 

Requirements: Must pass a background check, drug screen and a driver’s license clearance with our insurance company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Project Setup

  • Export estimate & import into Excel.
  • Breakout estimate into visible/measurable tasks with the PM, Foreman & Operations Manager.
  • Export tasks names from Excel & import into Blue Beam Revu.
  • Export tasks names & manpower requirements into MS project.
  • Align tasks in MS Project with the GC’s schedule with the PM, Foreman & Operations Manager.
  • Print a schedule-of-values for the accounting department.
  • Import plans into Blue Beam and turn over to Foreman to highlight & assign tasks.

Weekly Job Tracking

 

  • Visit project site and update status & quantities of all installed items.
  • Export field count from Blue Beam import into Excel.
  • Export task updates from Excel and import into MS project.
  • Print weekly schedule & project summary for the Project Manager & the Operations Manager.

Duties – what this is NOT

 

  • This is not a Project Management position. Each project will have a Project Manager who has full responsibility for his project and who will appropriately use the information this job provides in managing his project.
  • It is not an assistant position. All Project Managers & Estimators will manage their own administrative duties. This job position answers to the Operations Manager only.
